The College of Charleston was last reaffirmed in 2017. The College is currently preparing for its next reaffirmation of accreditation in 2027. This process involves two main components:

• Compliance Certification: The compliance certification demonstrates that the university is now, and has been, in compliance with the nearly SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation.
• Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP): The QEP document proposes a program to improve student learning or the learning environment on campus over the five years following reaffirmation of accreditation.

The 2017 process was overseen by the following: A Leadership Team; a SACSCOC Reaffirmation Steering Committee; and a QEP Committee. The College of Charleston organizational structure is shown below.
