1.     What is Compliance Assist

Compliance Assist! is an online tool for strategic planning, assessment report management, and learning outcomes assessment. Compliance Assist! allows for tracking of items and custom reports, uploading documents, relating assessment goals and courses, all in a hierarchical system.

 2.    How do I access Compliance Assist

You can log in at cofc.compliance-assist.com. To log in, use your Cougars log-in information. If this does not work for you, contact help desk.

 3.    How can I reset my Compliance Assist password?

To reset your Compliance Assist! password you must change your Cougars password. Whenever your Cougars log-in information changes, so will your Compliance Assist log-in information.

 4.    How do I find the appropriate section to enter my assessment report?

Once on the planning website, select My Dashboard and then choose the Assessment Plans tab. This will bring up the organization chart. Scroll through the organization chart to locate the appropriate section where you should enter your assessment report.

 5.    I have created and saved a program information or program goal/student learning outcome, how do I
        edit and make changes to it?

Editing a program information or program goal/student learning outcome is possible by first opening the item, and then selecting the Edit tab in the new window. Once you have selected the edit tab, you may make changes to the item, although large text boxes require the selection of their own Edit tab, which is visible within the large text box.

 6.    How do I delete an unwanted program goal or program information?

You can delete any unwanted program goal or program information by opening it and selecting the edit tab. Once you have selected the edit tab, select the delete button. If you are deleting a program information that has related items, a warning will pop up asking for confirmation.

 7.    How do I avoid errors when copying and pasting formatted text from other documents?

Errors can be avoided by utilizing the paste plain text option. This option will paste the desired text and remove all previous formatting.

 8.    How do I know which strategic initiatives my program goal/student learning outcome reflects?

 9.    How do I upload supporting documents/curriculum maps/rubrics?

You can upload supporting documents for your assessment report/plan in the Comments and Attachments box of the Program Information item. To do this, make sure your program information has been saved; click Edit on the program information. Then, enlarge the Comments and Attachments box and select Upload Files. Name your files appropriately, select Upload Files and Save the Program Information.

 10.  Can I insert tables or graphs into the text boxes in Compliance Assist!?

Yes. You may copy and paste pre-made tables or graphs into the Compliance Assist! text editor. Alternatively, you can utilize the Compliance Assist! text editor to build a table.

 11.  Can I view reports from past years?

Yes, to change years, select the Edit Filter button. Select the years you would like to view from the drop down menu, and then select OK.

 12.  How do I relate assessment goals to strategic Initiatives?

From the Related tab within an assessment goal, select the Add button and choose the program information or strategic initiative(s) that support the goal. Select the Add button.

 13.  How do I remove an unwanted related item?

To remove an item that has been related to your assessment goal, open the assessment goal and select the Related tab. Select the related item that you wish to remove and click on the Remove Selected button.

 14.  If I make changes to program information or a program goal/student learning outcome, do I need to
        re-create the corresponding report?

No, reports on Compliance Assist! do not need to be recreated if a change is made to program information or a program goal/corresponding item.
