CIRP Freshman Survey and Follow-up Surveys

The CIRP Freshman Survey

The CIRP Freshman Survey (TFS) is designed for administration to incoming first-year students before they start classes. The instrument collects extensive information that allows for a snapshot of what incoming students are like before they experience college. The College of Charleston administers the survey in paper format during orientation to all first-time, full-time freshmen.

Your First College Year Survey

Your First College Year (YFCY) was developed as a comprehensive assessment tool for the first-year experience. The data collected utilizing YFCY provides institutions with important information to guide programs and policy changes to improve the first year of college. YFCY is offered online to freshmen completing their first year of college.

College Senior Survey

The College Senior Survey (CSS) is an online survey offered to all graduating seniors via email in their final spring semester. The CSS offers feedback on students' academic and campus life experiences, post-college plans immediately following graduation, in addition to following up on many items from the CIRP Freshman Survey and the YFCY Survey.
